Call for Abstracts

The Scientific Committee of ISAAR 2024 & Annual Conference of KSATis delighted to announce that we are now accepting abstract submissions for both poster and oral presentations. Upon acceptance, detailed instructions will be provided to presenters regarding the presentation format and guidelines. We encourage researchers and experts to submit their abstracts and share their valuable insights with our conference attendees.

  • All accepted abstracts will be published as a supplement of the  International Journal of Infection & Chemotherapy.

Important Dates

  • -Submission Deadline for the Abstracts : January 29, 2024
  • -Notice of Acceptance of Abstracts : February 7, 2024

General Guidelines

  • To ensure compliance with the abstract deadline, we kindly request that all abstracts be submitted exclusively through our website. Please carefully follow the instructions provided below or on the website to prepare your abstract for submission. It is important to note that submitting an abstract does not automatically register you for the symposium.
  • The deadline for abstract submission is January 29, 2024 / 08:00 PM (KST). Corresponding authors will be notified of acceptance by February 7, 2024. The notification will include scheduling information and instructions on poster preparation.
  • The presenting author must register as an active participant at the symposium by March 15, 2024, after acceptance of an abstract. The ISAAR 2024 & Annual Conference of KSAT secretariat reserves the right to exclude any abstract that is not followed by a participant registration by this deadline.
  • Corresponding authors have the responsibility of ensuring that all co-authors have read and approved the abstract submission.
  • Submissions that do not adhere to the established submission guidelines will not undergo the review process.
  • Withdrawal of abstracts can only be accepted if notified in writing and subsequently confirmed by the ISAAR 2024 & Annual Conference of KSAT Secretariat.
  • It is only possible to withdraw an abstract until 30 days after notification of acceptance.
  • Plagiarism will not be tolerated in submitted abstracts. All submitted abstracts identified with plagiarism will be sent to the Program Committees for review and handling.

Abstract Format

Abstracts should be exclusively submitted through the ISAAR 2024 & Annual Conference of KSAT website. Please format the text in accordance with the instructions provided below or on the website.
Abstracts must be typed in single spacing using the Times New Roman font, with a font size of 10 points. The abstract text should also be single-spaced and aligned to the left margin only. Please avoid leaving blank lines between paragraphs and do not use indentation.

  • Please use a short and concise title that indicates the content of the abstract.
  • Abstract titles should be written in Title Case, which means capitalizing the first letter of all words in the title. However, please avoid capitalizing article words such as "a," "the," "and," and "of" unless they are the first word of the title. Additionally, abstract titles should appear in bold format.
  • Each abstract text may contain up to max 1,800 characters. It does not include abstract title, author's name, affiliations, keywords in abstract text. (spaces are not counted). Tables and graphics are included in the character count.
  • Author(s) Information is included Author(s)’s name(s), institution(s), location(s). Omit degrees. Place an asterisk (*) after the name of the author presenting the paper. On a separate line, type as succinctly as possible the names of institutions and countries.
  • Leave one blank line between the title/author block and the abstract text. The abstract text should include background, methods, results and conclusion.
  • Use italics only when appropriate (e.g., for names of genus and species). Simple table and graphs (neat and in black ink) may be included.
  • Abstracts will be published as submitted; i.e. any error appearing in the submitted abstract will appear in the published abstract book.
  • Each abstract must be submitted in electronic form as MS word for Windows 10 or any previous version.

Abstract Embargo Policy

All abstracts accepted for ISAAR 2024 & Annual Conference of KSAT are subject to an embargo once the Program Committee notifies presenters of their abstract's acceptance. After this notification, the abstracts cannot be presented at other meetings. It is required that all abstracts remain embargoed until until 12:00 p.m. KST on Saturday, April 7, 2024.
Authors should be aware that certain journals may not accept manuscript submissions that duplicate material already published or submitted elsewhere. Please refer to the specific instructions provided by each journal for further details.
Embargo violations by media professionals may result in suspension of credentials at the ISAAR 2024 & Annual Conference of KSAT as well as future meetings and may also impact the ability to receive advance media materials for future meetings. Embargo violations by abstract authors and/or sponsors may result in removal of the abstract from the scientific program. Abstract authors are responsible for notifying financial and other sponsors about this embargo policy.

Embargo and Copyright Policy

1. Abstract Submission:
The presenting author and co-authors must adhere to the Embargo policy, which requires that abstracts be based on unpublished results. They should not anticipate publication, either wholly or partially, in any national or international journal before ISAAR 2024 & Annual Conference of KSAT—unless the publication occurs after the abstract submission withdrawal deadline on February 15, 2024.

2. Previously Presented Abstracts:
Abstracts previously presented at a national or international meeting should not be submitted. However, abstracts previously submitted at smaller/regional meetings but not published in a journal may be considered by the ISAAR 2024 & Annual Conference of KSAT Program Committee if no rights have been transferred and all new or updated data are included.

3. Copyright Transfer:
Authors and co-authors are required to transfer copyrights to ISAAR 2024 & Annual Conference of KSAT. This grants permission for audio/video recording of oral presentations for later sale or publication.

4. Responsibility and Compliance:
By submitting an abstract, you warrant that reasonable care has been taken to ensure its accuracy and that it does not contain anything libelous, obscene, or infringing upon anyone's copyright, right of privacy, or other rights.
Failure to comply with these policies may result in the Program Committee requiring the withdrawal of the abstract.

5. Embargo Period:
All abstracts must remain embargoed until 12:00 p.m., April 7, 2024 KST.

6. Copyright Ownership:
The organizing committee of ISAAR 2024 & Annual Conference of KSAT retains perpetual copyrights to all accepted presentation abstracts.
